The Ayckbourn Archive: News & Updates

31 August: More Plays Added
The Plays section of The Archive has been expanded with four more plays featuring material drawn from the Ayckbourn Archive at the Borthwick Institute for Archives at the University of York, The Bob Watson Archive at the Stephen Joseph Theatre and private collections. The new plays are Absent Friends (1974), Way Upstream (1981), Communicating Doors (1994) and Haunting Julia (1994). Much of this material is new to the website and has rarely been seen in public before.
11 March 2020: The Ayckbourn Archive Launch
The Ayckbourn Archive is the latest addition to Alan Ayckbourn's Official Website (www.alanayckbourn.net) with an aim to highlight the wealth of material relating to Alan Ayckbourn held in various UK archives - predominantly in the Ayckbourn Archive at the Borthwick Institute for Archives at the University of York. Within the Archive, you can find different sections highlighting archive material relating to areas such as key plays, the playwright as well as his home theatre, the Stephen Joseph Theatre, and his mentor Stephen Joseph. The Archive will be regularly updated with new material as well as providing access details for the major relevant archives in the UK.
